Floating Gold

Painted after a special morning light, inspired me back in early October. I just loved the multitude of different colours , and all the different light bouncing around in the wet sand and tidepools.
This painting will be on show in my upcoming exhibition at 'The Queen's Theatre" starting on Monday Nov 9th 2009.

The tide turned and the swell picked up. The sun came out and turned the wave faces green. No one on the beach and just a few friends out in the lineup.

Summer Squall

I painted this summer squall as it mushroomed up over Hartland Point in the distance. It wasn't long before it hit and the wind and rain, put an end to the painting day.

End of Summer

The Autumn Equinox has passed, so we are now officially in Autumn. So it was only appropriate to paint an end of summer oil. I guess these days will be getting fewer now.

Escape to the sun

With July being pretty much a washout, our 10 day honeymoon in Portugal was a total tonic.
40 deg heat and wall to wall blue skies and sunshine. Fingers crossed for August!

The Sinking of the Big Red One





As I pootled away in the studio tonight, I glanced out the window to see the hillside changing colour.........first good burner in a while.
