Despite the grey and gloomy weather visiting our shores at the moment, I still managed to catch a few glorious sunsets last month, this was one such. I primed the board with a greyed up purple and pre-mixed a batch of colour at speed from sight. The application went on super fast, as anyone know who has tried to paint a sunset live, it sinks into the sea at warp speed. Very challenging, extremely intense, fast painting, great fun!

Beautiful work Steve, that's excellent. I enjoyed a glorious sunset up in Rhosneigr a couple of weekends back and felt blessed for it. The day had been as grey as monotone grey can be but suddenly, around 7, the clouds just totally broke up and we were left with a stunning full red sunset. Beautiful. Unfortunately I don't have your talent for painting so had to snap it fast instead.
Cheers
Josh
Thanks Josh, I hope you got a good photo, those sunsets can really lift you can't they?
They can indeed. It was a great way to end what I think may have been one of the best days of my life. We body boarded, drank a bit, sat in front of a roaring log fire, hung out with my god daughter, best mate, girlfriend and dog and ate great food... oh and watched death on the nile with Pete Ustinov. It doesn't get much better than that and I was utterly at peace as the sun came out.
Man I wish being on holiday!
